Sensitivity
What is it?
Skin sensitivity is usually associated with skin inflammation and can happen more frequently that you’d think. People tend to notice the symptoms of sensitivity, which are mostly redness, puffiness and stinging, but will often overlook the relation between them.
Origins & main causes
Some skins are genetically more sensitive than others, and sensitivity can simply be related to your skin type. But skin inflammation and sensitivity can also be triggered and/or hightened by high-sugar diets and harsh chemicals. However, exercise, sleep and hydration can help fighting this inflammation and reduce your sensitivity.
What to do
When dealing with skin sensitivity it is crucial to be extra careful with what you put on your skin. Be gentle with it! Don’t over exfoliate and try to get educated about the skincare formulas that your skin can tolerate. Trying natural, organic skincare products could be the solution.
